Meet Your
Balanced Bookkeeper

Hi, I'm Jennifer Griffith, owner of Balanced Bookkeeper. If you're a therapist, counselor, or mental health professional in private practice, you're in the right place.

My path here wasn't a straight line. I started my career in bookkeeping, stepped away to raise my kids, and went back to school to become a registered nurse in 2020. I loved that work. But after five years and a pandemic, compassion fatigue set in and I knew I needed a change. Returning to bookkeeping felt like coming home, and this time I wanted to build something of my own. That's how Balanced Bookkeeper came to be.

Choosing to focus on therapists and mental health professionals wasn't accidental, either. Therapy has made a real difference in my own life, and I have a deep respect for the work you do and the people you show up for every day. Serving this community is meaningful in a way that goes beyond the numbers.

And I understand more than just the emotional weight of this work. I understand the business side of running a private practice, too. The way income can fluctuate. The administrative tasks that quietly pile up. The pull to just focus on your clients and let everything else wait. The bookkeeping shouldn't be one more thing you're carrying.

That's where I come in. My nursing background instilled in me that integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality aren't extras — they're the baseline. Your financial information is treated with discretion, your books are kept with care, and you'll always know exactly where things stand. I'm not here to hand you a report and disappear. I'm here to be a steady, reliable presence you can actually lean on.

Clean books. Clear communication. No surprises.

When you're ready for a bookkeeper you can truly trust, I'd love to connect.
